you just might make me believe

what's your mode of transport?
mine is the sun.
when it rises dripping from
the sea when it falls like honey on
the trees when it swallows up
clouds my soul moves with it.

mine is you.
when you lift your eyes
when you look straight ahead
when you try to speak my
heart moves with you.

feelin' good.

bop to the top
Yesterday was really fun. :)

My family arrived about an hour late at Big Splash. (i think i got my lateness genes from my parents. pretty sure of it.) We all wore bLack. i was fuming 'cos i felt that we looked as though we were going to a funeral instead of a fun! fun! day. i was quite amazed at the rate of 2 of my cousins redeemed prizes at the games stall. They had in total about 6 teeny babies to their names- pretty impressive since they've only been there for about an hour or so.

The worst thing i think was the fact that i didn't swim. It was actually more like i didn't have the guts to swim. i mean i don't want my wobbly bits to be in full view of other people, especially in front of my cousins whom 70% were boys. (Did i tell you that there was only 3 girls, including myself, being surrounded by 7 boys? We girls were truly outnumbered. It also doesn't help the fact that the guys consider me to be one of the guys. That makes it the ratio 2:8. 80%. darn it. there goes womankind in my family.)

Oh. and i got myself a henna tattoo!! it seems to be fading away pretty quickly though, although the indian lady said that it'll last for about 10 days. and i think that it makes my arms look bigger than usual. bigger meaning fatter. and i think that's it's lopsided. the henna i mean, not my arms.

-my henna [if you can't see it, er. sorry.]

there were also games on stage as well. one of the most memorable games was where the audience (that's us) decided on the "bushiness" of the armpit hair of 4 men, who thought that there were entering a Manhunt contest. Really funny, especially when the emcee showed them different poses that would ensure that they showed off their armpits. there was a botak one, a really "forresty" one and the winner, whose armpit hair was dubbed "The Jungle". hahhah. :)

After the whole thing ended at about 2.30, my aunties and uncles decided that we should all go and have a mini picnic in east coast park. we also celebrated birthdays in december, complete with cake and guitar accomplaiment of the birthday song.

played volleyball for the next 1.5 hours.

ate more beehoon.

played more volleyball.

converted to soccer when the volleball was replaced with a soccer ball.

watched the sun setting on the distant horizon.
truly breathtaking.

all of us stayed there till about 9 where we got pretty hungry. we then made our way to the malayan railway station for a bite to eat. my dad got lost so we were arrived late. again. at least we didn't miss the Singapore Idol Finals 'cos my dad got the car radio tuned to Tv Mobile. i think that i'm beginning to like Tv Mobile. this despite the fact that it's irritating when it's showing stuff on the bus.

got home in time to watch Runaway Bride. i have said this and i will say it again. Julia Roberts rocks. Richard Gere is a heart throb. despite the fact that he's old of course.

a pretty nice end to a nice day.

note: i still need help with the guitar. and i lost my pick for the umpteenth time. which means that i'm going to spoil my nails picking the strings. oh bummer.

song on repeat mode in my head: To Be With You by Mr Big
current book: none at the moment. will go to the library later.
