you just might make me believe

what's your mode of transport?
mine is the sun.
when it rises dripping from
the sea when it falls like honey on
the trees when it swallows up
clouds my soul moves with it.

mine is you.
when you lift your eyes
when you look straight ahead
when you try to speak my
heart moves with you.

is it considered having fun while there you are feeling guilty when having the time of your life?

bop to the top
i feel really guilty that here i am spending my time enjoying myself when there were other people whose lives were destroyed by the earthquake and tsunami. Bandar Aceh was, in my opinion, the most affected as it got two blows: first the quake which destroyed buildings and then soon afterwards, the tsunami which destroyed what was left, resulting in a devastating sight.
let us do our part in helping our affected neighbours by donating the necessary supplies and money to the proper organisations. after all, we could have been a part of this devastation too if "the epicentre of the massive earthquakes that caused the tsunamis had been just a few tens of kilometres east, it would have been at the northern mouth of the Straits of Malacca. Tsunamis would the have raced down the straits. The steadily narrowing straits would have concentrated the terrible force of the tsunamis, to hit the southern islands and west coast of Singapore with devastating effect.." (The Straits Times, Friday, Dec 31 2004, letter sent by Mickey Chiang to the Forum page)
In the light of this, we Singaporeans should be thankful that we get to usher in the new year in one piece with all our belongings intact and help those who are not as fortunate to the best of our abilities.
