you just might make me believe

what's your mode of transport?
mine is the sun.
when it rises dripping from
the sea when it falls like honey on
the trees when it swallows up
clouds my soul moves with it.

mine is you.
when you lift your eyes
when you look straight ahead
when you try to speak my
heart moves with you.

bop to the top
watching Yusof Islam's (otherwise formerly known as the rock star Cat Stevens) interview on 20/20 has made me realise something: a lot of us take things at face value and are too lazy to probe further into details because we're too afraid to make things more complicated than they already are. To live in a country where peace and freedom are sometimes taken for granted is, to a lot of people around the world, a Godsend. It never fails to shock me when i see images and reports of young adults like myself losing their lives over militant clashes, or stories of people who live to see their loved ones dying in front of their own eyes. It hurts that i could do nothing to make a difference. I just hope and pray that those people who have the power and the ability to make a difference in the lives of so many others, are willing to do just that.

I just wish that more could be done. I can't help feeling that it's unfair that i have a roof over my head and the freedom of choice, when others don't even know that they have that basic right.
