what's your mode of transport?
mine is the sun.
when it rises dripping from
the sea when it falls like honey on
the trees when it swallows up
clouds my soul moves with it.
mine is you.
i like fridays, rainy days, proud cats, black & white photographs, children's books, short stories and movies that most people would never see. Music serves me justice on sad days (Adele, The Kooks, Mumford & Sons are gems) and genuine smiles are a must-have.
i want that feeling to stay with me.

kingdom of heaven.
watched that incredible epic with quanmin and candice. it was more like a decision made in the spur of the moment cos we really had nothing much to do since soccer training seemed kinda pointless without ms audrey. yup. but i think the time spent was worth it.
i'm not gonna give the plot away. i mean, where's the fun in that?
the movie is not some outlandish religious nonsense that's out to whitewash the audience's minds. even though it revolves around the Crusades, it ultimately is just about preserving humanity and the consequences of the choices that humans make. preserving humanity here, means that each of us, regardless of religion or race, have the decent right to live and to fight, in order to keep this right. it also taught me a lesson on forgiveness and selflessness- thinking of the welfare of many others who are not as fortunate as you, before yourself, even if it means certain death or torture or a complete fall from society's social graces, in the case of this movie at least.
after the movie ended, i had this indescribable intense feeling, to actually pay even more attention to the things and people around me, to treasure life more and not remember it as just a passing blur. the movie also gave me a greater sense of respect and understanding of Islam, and being even more proud of being a Muslim.
i'm so relieved to say that orlando bloom doesn't look like his usual cute, pretty-boy, almost-sissy (in my opinion anyway) self. here, he's dignified, humble, wise, concientious, forward-looking, strategic, selfless.. basically possessing all the traits of a good leader. you can even see it in the way he carries himself, and the way he strides across the room- so confident and so sure of himself. if only i could be like that. ooh. and the best part is, he looks kinda rugged, almost manly.
mind you, i'm a sucker for rugged-looking guys.
the actress who plays the sister to the King of Jerusalem at that time, is so beautiful and gives a natural sort of charm and poise to the character. she looks like a Queen even when she chopped off her hair so that people won't recognise her as the reigning queen, as she goes about giving medical attention to the many innocent people hurt.
-as u can see, my response to the movie is fairly brief so, what are you waiting for? go and watch it to get the rest of the responses yourself!
