what's your mode of transport?
mine is the sun. when it rises dripping from the sea when it falls like honey on the trees when it swallows up clouds my soul moves with it.
mine is you.

i'm in sch. again killing time before my GP test 15 mins later. just had a mini pep talk session with my history tutor. he talked to us about having passion. i mean, men like lee kuan yew, lim chin siong, david marshall and syed ja'abar albar, all had different agendas, different motives. but they had one thing in common. yup, u've guessed it. passion. in their cause, in what they believed in. and i guess, in a way, my hist teacher probably brought it up on purpose, in conjuction with the a'levels. he was saying that it doesn't matter if u're a good student or not. as long as u have this undying burning passion to achieve something which u think isn't possible at this point of time, and u're willing and determined to perservere, u can achieve anything. and i think he's right. it all comes down to the question of whether or not i'm 'interested' or whether i'm 'committed'. both words so similar in meanings, yet in the long term, it's the one who's committed the most who benefits. for, one may be truly interested in something, but what happens when the interest fades? what do u do then? the ans wld most likely be to give up. so commit yourself. if u can't, in the long run, u're gonna be wasting ur time. |
