what's your mode of transport?
mine is the sun. when it rises dripping from the sea when it falls like honey on the trees when it swallows up clouds my soul moves with it.
mine is you.

went for a night hike yesterday with wei hao. quite okay though except for the fact that we went up and down this long stretch of road along fort canning park cos we kept going past the correct junction. passed the whole time trying to learn to scout hymn. at least i know the first 2 stanzas by heart now.. ahahh. oh oh! and he bullied me!! instead of me suanning him, he was suanning me.. telling me how great investiture was.. had to rub it in my face. bah. and not only that, he also made me feel so dumb in the beginning cos i totally missed the bridge that we were supposed to take. roar. oh, there was one part of the hike that from a distance, we thought that there this huge person sitting in the dark, alone. but when we got closer, it wasn't one but TWO people- a couple who was basically, to put it simply, stuck to each other. eww. oh oh, and there was this small lane that we passed called "jalan kubor" which means "cemetery road" in malay. and as we passed it, i looked at the road and said "hmm. cemetery road? so weird. no graves here though." and JUST i said that, we passed this plot of land with a lot of graves and tombstones sticking out like sore thumbs. damn freakayy. at the end of the hike, winkie and steph went crazie, as in really mentally-unstable insanity after waiting for us for over 6hrs at macs. the staff at macs pitied them so much that they gave complementary fries and apple pie. ahahh. but ultimately, it was quite okay, considering that it was my FIRST PROPER night hike. previously, for all of my hikes, I just simply walked and followed the map- no need for compasses and the troublesome logbooks. man. times have so changed. +++ i miss the little SA cub scouts.. especially Danish. the cutest. sigh. |
